New editorial board member Kim Zweerink

When Jaap Evert Abrahamse called me to ask if I would succeed him on the editorial board of the Bulletin KNOB, I naturally couldn't say no. I first became acquainted with the Bulletin while studying architectural history at the VU. Having followed the Bulletin for years as a reader, I look forward to actively contributing to substantively strong articles in the field of the spatial history of the Netherlands. My contribution will mainly be in the field of urban planning history and cultural landscapes. I studied social history in Rotterdam and then decided to study architectural history in greater depth at the VU. My PhD research at TU Delft was on the long-term development of city plans in the Randstad. I have now been working at MOOI Noord-Holland for several years. As a consultant on environmental quality, the challenge is to make my historical knowledge applicable to the concrete spatial issues of municipalities.
