Donation from UvA Diamond Open Access Fund

We received word that the UvA Diamond Open Access Fund has once again awarded a donation to the Bulletin KNOB, following previous donations in 2021 and 2020.

The University of Amsterdam (UvA) sees an important role for Diamond Open Access initiatives in the transition to an affordable, sustainable and fair system of open access publishing managed by the academic community. Diamond open access makes scientific information available at no cost to authors and readers. Initiatives of this kind often struggle to obtain funding and the importance of this open access model is usually underestimated in existing open access strategies. This is why the UvA set up the UvA Diamond Open Access Fund at the beginning of this year.

The board of KNOB and the editors of the Bulletin KNOB would like to thank the UvA Diamond Open Access Fund. This contribution is an extra stimulus for us to continue our publicity efforts to the best of our ability.
